![]() Integration - Business Planning and Business Strategy All businesses begin with an idea, a key concept from which the rest of the activities develop and to which all activities within the business relate to. This idea provides the seed from which · the vision and · the core values of the business develop. The vision is usually held clearly by only one or to people - the champions of the business. It is also usual that it is their values of doing business - being close to the customer, focused on quality in production and having and innovative and adaptive capacity which become the core values of the business. Remember the key is -where are we now, Where do we want to be, how do we want to get there: Goals are · Specific · Measurable · Attainable · Realistic · Time Bound Goals relate to operations, tactics and strategies Goals need to be split into two separate areas - · what are you looking for personally from the business and · what are you wanting the business to achieve in its own right eg what personality the business will have, what the business will look and feel like from the owners and other investors eg bankers, employees, customers, suppliers point of view. This is a very interesting resource Master Small Business" During my time at with the Business Development Board we used a Business Capability Assessment. I adapted this for the BIZ programme and have now set it up on a autoresponder. Not very clean but comprehensive. All you have to do to access it is sent a blank email to tomlaings-bca@freeautobot.com There are ten emails in all - deliver one per day - the first email explains all and you can cancel out at anytime. |
